GUNS N´ ROSES: Guns N’ Roses es una banda de hard rock fundada en Hollywood, Los Ángeles, California, por su vocalista Axl Rose y por Izzy Stradlin en la guitarra rítmica. Actualmente, el grupo ha vendido más de 15º millones de copias alrededor del mundo, siendo 58 millones de estas ventas sólo en Estados Unidos.

LOS BEATLES: Grupo británico de música rock y pop, el más admirado y popular de la década de 1960 y uno de los más influyentes en la historia de la música moderna. Si el gran Elvis Presley dominó los años 50 como rey del rock and roll, correspondió a The Beatles, un grupo también rockero en sus raíces, ejercer la hegemonía en la década siguiente con una acertadísima y sofisticada amalgama de estilos que llevaría la música pop a todos los públicos y preludió géneros posteriores.

METALLICA: Banda estadounidense de Heavy Metal formada en 1981 en Los Ángeles alrededor de los daneses Lars Ulrich y James Hetfield. A ellos se unieron, al principio, Lloyd Grant y Ron McGovney, pronto sustituidos por el guitarrista Dave Mustaine y el bajista Cliff Burton, respectivamente. En 1982 Kirk Hammett ocupó el lugar de Mustaine; en 1986, la muerte de Cliff Burton en un accidente llevó al grupo a Jason Newsted, que sería sustituido quince años después por el bajista Robert Trujillo.

QUEEN: Banda de rock británica que gozó de gran fama desde mediados de los setenta y durante toda la década de los ochenta; la espectacularidad y dinamismo de sus actuaciones y la asimilación al rock de tendencias jazzísticas, sinfónicas y operísticas fueron algunas de las claves de su éxito, tan abrumador que sus discos fueron superventas incluso después del fallecimiento en 1991 de su líder, el cantante Freddie Mercury. Creado en 1970, el grupo estuvo formado por Freddie Mercury (voz), Brian May (guitarra), Roger Taylor (batería) y John Deacon (bajo).

The Gernika´s museum is located in  Vizcaya in the Basque Country.

This museum has a lot of information about the bombing of Gernika in which die a lot of people.
I have chosen this museum:

• Because of its history and information about the deeds that happened in Gernika. 

• Because I think that few people of the class has visited the museum

• And because I have gone and it´s amazing.

As I have said before, I´m going to speak about the bombing of Gernika.

In the museum there are galleries dedicated to igive us information about:

• The bombing of Gernika
• The Spanish civil war
• The history of Gernika-Lumo

The bombing of Gernika (Operation Rügen) was an air strike on the Spanish population on April 26, 1936, during the Spanish Civil War by the Germans and Italian Aviation, who fought for of the rebels against the government of the Second Spanish Republic. Current estimates encrypt victims died in a range that spans 126 deaths.

Gernika, Basque cultural and historical capital, before the attack had a population of about 5000 people, which would add a large number of troops, retreating to prepare the defense of Bilbao, and refugees fleeing the advancing troops from Franco. At that time did not have any air defense, although it had three weapons factories, one of aviation bombs.

In the museum it´s not permited to smoke, eat, and if  children want to enter in the museum, they´ll have to be with an adult.

The museum is close every monday except for some special days.
From tuesday to saturday is opened from 10:00 AM to 19:00 PM
and the sundays is open from 10:00 AM to 14:00 PM
The general price to enter is 5 but in special days that is free

The Delian League

The Delian League was a group of athenians citizens and the inhabitants of other city-stages of ancient greece. Their headquarter was found in the island of ´Delos´
This organisation was a maritime military alliance created and controlled by aristide, an statesman. In 477 B.C. he wrote the statutes and planified the league to defend the cities-stages from possible persians attacks.

If the cities-stages wanted to be in the Delian League, they should gave money, man and ships to Athens. All of the things that the cities-stages gave were going to be used in the war.
In the other hand, Athens were going to anssure that other cities-stages were not assaulted or invaded by the Persians. Important decissions were made at meetings of a council in which there was a representant from each of the confederated cities, this representative was entitled to voice.

Athens made some poleis that belonged to the Delian League, pay high taxes and took the League´s treasure.

The Delian League continued until the Athenians were defeated by the Spartans in 404 B.C. as a result from the Peloponnesian wars. Since this moment, the alliance was dissolved until 377 B.C. in this case to protect them from Sparta. However, Athens was unable to impose its authority. This was called  Second Delian League that desappeared in 338 B.C. because Philip II of macedon defeated Athenians at the battle of Chaeronea
